Biography & Experience
Hi! My name is Lillie.
I'm a student journalist at Texas Christian University. In 2018, at the age of 14, I attended the NRA convention with a group of students conducting interviews for a theatrical work (Babel: A Documentary Play About Gun Violence in America.) It was on that trip that I discovered my passion for asking hard questions to real people. Later in 2018, I joined the staff of Revolution Now Magazine as its breaking news reporter. As soon as I published my first article, my suspicion was confirmed: there was no going back. I was a newsie through and through. After four years spent on staff at RevNow, I assumed the magazine's editorship in the summer of 2021.
My highest hope is to elevate the standards of truth and compassion that we hold ourselves to as journalists. Often, it is our lens that citizens use to examine the world around them. Therefore, it should be the duty and commitment of all of us to maintain the clarity and focus of that lens.
In my free time, I can be found at Globe Life Field, where I work in concessions and fine dining for the Texas Rangers, or playing the New York Times' crossword puzzles.
